Um...

Um, I know this is kind of getting ubiquitous with all the GIRLY SHOW videos. I kept thinking I was just going to put up a few of the best ones, but literally every day brings a new video and it's just as amazing as the one before. This video especially made my jaw drop. It's of junior Haley Hannah and senior Ashley Blanchet (formerly Ashley Williams of the 06 GIRLY SHOW for you die hards who might have been confused) singing the Pasek & Paul song "Ready to Be Loved," I'm always a little nervous when I hear that girls are singing this song, because it is truly one of the most difficult songs, it is so incredibly high and hard to do healthfully and cleanly. But JESUS, these girls have knocked it out of the park. It is always such a treat to hear Ashley's voice. At 3:55, everyone I was watching this with seriously laughed out loud it sounds so epic. And Haley, breaks out as additionally wonderful. Seriously, just watch all the GIRLY SHOW videos. They're all amazing and I'm so honored and proud that they carried on the tradition.

Two Turtle Doves

Talk about a GREAT Christmas gift. Miss Lizzie Klemper forwarded these two ridiculous videos on to me from the 2008 University of Michigan GIRLY SHOW. The first is Senior Lizzie Klemperer and Junior Amanda Choate (2006 GIRLY SHOW alum--see rindokulous 18-year-old raw belting on video "Annie's Party") singing the Chris Miller/Nathan Tysen song "Poor Little Patty." These two gals have voices that instantly struck a chord with me and infinitely made me hunger for their yummy tones more and more and more.

The second is Lizzie singing this amazing song by Ryan Scott Oliver called "A Hypochondriac's Song" that I've never heard, but will no doubt be my new youtube standard. Get ready world, cuz Lizzie is graduating in a few months and will surely be tearing up the boards with her silver voice and beautiful vulnerability.

I'm begging them to put the rest of the GIRLY SHOW vids up on UrInTown, because if this is a sign of things to come, I'm going to be a slave to my computer for the next couple weeks.

What a Christmas surprise! It's so wonderful to see that these guys are back up to their interweb tricks this holiday season! Title of Show: Broadway 2009!!

Bridie Carroll Amazingness

Here's a video of the radiant Bridie Carroll singing a terrific song by Jonathan Reid Gealt. Since working with Bridie at North Shore doing HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, she has been tearing up New York. She just started on the new GREASE tour where she's playing Jan. Can't wait to hear reports from the road of her awesomeness.

New Series coming to UrInTown!!

Get excited folks! The youtube network that brought you THE BATTERY'S DOWN and ANDREW'S BLOG will soon be adding a third show to their roster. LIVING, a new animated series will be debuting on the UrInTown channel very soon! Since the season finale of THE BATTERY'S DOWN, Jake has been a busy little boy working on this new show with his friends from HAIR. LIVING is a stop animation type show, in the style of Robot Chicken but I'm guessing it's going to be way rrricher, way campier and geared perfectly towards his youtube fans.

Katie & Andrew's Boston Blog

No, not "me" Andrew. Sadly, with the crazy GRINCH schedule I haven't had to time whip out the camera and do some video bloggin' but I promise I will soon. But DO check out this blog. It's hilarious and totally has the pastiche feel of my early blogs. I've been a fan of Andrew Barrett Cox's videos since back to my early Umich days. He once had this video up of him singing "Macavity" as some creepy goth kid that was hysterical and became a youtube standard within my department. I'm still campaigning for him to put it back up. He's way younger than me, but I feel like he is turning into quite the filmmaker. Definite points scored for the random BROOKLYN the musical references and letting random Boston squirrels crawl up his legs.

NY1 Segment on THE BATTERY'S DOWN & [the title of show] show

This is kind of an older clip from earlier this year, but I guess Jake finally figured out how to get it off of a DVD and onto youtube. It's pretty freaking cool if you ask me.

Literally, the most talented person I've ever seen.

Is this a joke?! This is full on a high school production of DREAMGIRLS. The young lady playing Effie has legit one of the best voices I've ever heard, certainly one of the most vulnerable actresses I've ever seen, and makes the best recovery of a lyric flub by way of a 15-note riff ever recorded. The only thing I'm sure of, is that this girl is winning a TONY award before I am.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Cheetos!

Well, I'm gonna hold off buying one til they come in Flamin Hot. But hysterical none the less.

Thanks to Katelyn for the tip!

VGL BOYS: The Recession Video

I freaking love these two. Thanks for another hilarious vid.

YES!!! PEREZ HILTON SAVES THE UNIVERSE youtube Video!!

It's truly the season of giving thanks. For me, it's that a clip from PEREZ HILTON SAVES THE UNIVERSE has finally found its way onto the interweb. For those of you who didn't get a chance to see smash-hit winner of 2008 Fringe Festival and Talkin Broadway awards for BEST MUSICAL, you really missed out! Or did you? The show's a fully amazing package ready to open anytime, just waitin for a producer to snatch it up and make a million dollars off of it ;)
This is a vid of the delicious Dana Steingold as Alyssa singing "The Assistant." She's a joke and I'm so glad someone took the liberty of preserving part of her amazing performance. Let's all just hope my sex scene as Zac Efron doesn't end up online :-/
